BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & other People of Color) Therapy

BIPOC individuals often navigate the emotional impact of living within systems and environments shaped by racism and oppression—across workplaces, educational settings, healthcare spaces, or everyday interactions. These experiences can influence one’s sense of safety, belonging, and self-understanding, both internally and in relationships. From a relational and depth-oriented approach, therapy offers space to explore how cultural experiences, identity, and systemic realities have been absorbed over time and how they continue to shape your inner world and relational patterns. Together, we may work through experiences of discrimination, cultural or familial expectations, intersecting experiences, and concerns related self-worth, imposter syndrome, and belonging. Our goal is to support greater clarity, emotional integration, and a more grounded and empowered sense of self.

LGBTQ+ Affirming Care

We welcome and affirm people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship structures, and gender-expansive communities. We recognize that LGBTQ+ individuals often carry the emotional impact of living in a world that may not fully affirm who they are, including experiences of discrimination, marginalization, or internalized stigma. Our work together focuses on understanding how these experiences shape your inner world, sense of self, and relationships over time. In therapy, we may explore themes related to identity development, coming out, transitioning, queer relationships, religious or cultural conflicts, substance use, and the effects of homophobia, transphobia, and cisheterosexism. By making space for these experiences and patterns, therapy can support deeper self-understanding, emotional integration, and a more authentic way of relating to yourself and others.

Relational Concerns

Many of the challenges people bring to therapy show up in their relationships. You might find yourself repeating familiar patterns—feeling unheard by a partner, overwhelmed by authority figures, or unsure how to set and maintain boundaries. These dynamics often have deeper roots shaped by earlier experiences and emotional learning. From a relational perspective, we work together to understand how past relationships and long-standing patterns continue to influence how you relate to others today—including within the therapy relationship itself. By increasing awareness of these patterns and the emotions beneath them, therapy can create space for more choice, flexibility, and meaningful connection. Our goal is to support you in developing deeper relational insight and more fulfilling, authentic relationships.

Body Image, Fatphobia, & Weight Stigma

Body image concerns can arise from cultural ideals, social pressures, and experiences of being judged or treated differently because of appearance, body size, or shape. While these struggles can affect people of all genders and body types, they are often especially impactful for those in larger bodies. Over time, these experiences can shape one’s sense of self, relationship to the body, and feelings of safety, confidence, and belonging. Grounded in a Health at Every Size (HAES) and depth-oriented approach, therapy provides a space to explore how societal messages about bodies and appearance are internalized, and how they influence emotions, self-worth, and patterns around food, movement, and care. We support you in navigating experiences of size stigma, social rejection, medical bias, body-based shame, and behaviors such as rigid food related tracking, body checking, or compulsive exercise. Our goal is to cultivate greater body trust, self-compassion, and a more attuned, respectful relationship with your body. Please note: Our practice is not equipped to treat moderate to severe eating disorders (e.g., Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa).
